Staycation...continued

4 more days of staycation.  Last night was our final night before going to pick up Big Bro and June Bug.  We decided to play tourists in our own town and went to a local institution:  McGuire's Irish Pub.

McGuire's opened in 1977 as a small neighborhood pub in a shopping center.  McGuire cooked and Molly waited tables.  When Molly made her first tip, she tacked it above the bar for good luck.  Friends added to the collection and now, there are over $550,000 worth of $1 bills signed by customers and stapled to every spot on the walls and ceilings.  Here's ours!

This place has so much personality.   Where else can you go and find hundreds of thousands of dollars stapled to the wall?  Art of chubby naked  angel babies?  A stuffed yak (maybe it's a buffalo)?  And all in the same place?

Our waiter was great!  He took really good care of us and brought us the yummiest spinach and artichoke dip with homemade torilla chips!  Mmm, mmm.

And then he was our own personal paparazzi!

What a great night!  Where is your favorite tourist trap?  At home or away?
